This issue has resulted in balconies and terraces leaking into the units below, causing damage to both the internal surface finishes and the durability of the slab reinforcement. Over time, gradual corrosion of the steel reinforcement can lead to concrete cancer, which is a significant concern.

After conducting previous inspections and flood testing, it has been revealed that the waterproofing system installed on the terrace above has failed.
