BellMont was appointed by Wellman Strata to undertake waterproofing works on all three buildings in Mascot.
When investigating the condition of all three buildings’ rooves, our engineers identified that the roof membranes had been installed inadequately and had delaminated. It was also evident that the previous builder had unsuccessfully attempted to repair the ineffective membranes, making the repair of the existing waterproofing system of these buildings, a priority for our team.
As recommended, BellMont prepared a scope of work which specified and detailed a new membrane system, which was applicable to all buildings within the complex, as they all suffered the same issues.
The existing membranes to Buildings 1, 2 and 3 rooftops required being replaced with a new three layer torch-on membrane system and screeds to fall to drainage outlets. Once the membrane systems were replaced, new cavity flashings were installed to replace the existing within the cavity walls to the nominated rooftop.
Installation of this new waterproofing system, which included new membranes and cavity flashings, gave this building new life and a new found sense of security and safety for its owners and tenants.
