Facade Upgrades and New Balustrades

Today, let's take a walk down memory road as we showcase two significant projects which require our professional engineering and building consultancy services.

​Our first project is located in Potts Point involving extensive remedial facade works to achieve a rejuvenating makeover.

The second project is located in Bondi from which Bellmont needed to give it a new look because of major concrete cancer throughout the neglected multi storey building.

Macleay Street, Potts Point 

Situated at Potts Point and providing some of the most spectacular views of Sydney, the Pomeroy Apartment has been enhanced by the current remedial works.

The building has received a rejuvenating make-over during the past 12 months. This remedial project has involved undertaking render repairs throughout the external building façade which were previously exhibiting a case of crazed cracking, undertaking concrete and crack repairs to specified areas of delamination and spalling, the removal and replacement of damaged window architrave moulds, movement joints and sealant installation, and external façade coating works.

​Bellmont has actively been involved in the project and provided progressive site inspections and assessment of façade deterioration issues, along with the supervision and provision of continuous technical advice to the Owners. 

BONDI ROAD, BONDI BEACH 

Located at Bondi Beach, this multi-storey residential apartment complex was suffering the effects of years of neglect.

Bellmont was engaged to consultant on the rectification of the structural issues which had developed.

Severe reinforcement corrosion, non compliant balustrades, column failure, membrane failure were a small part of the issues to be overcome.

The structural repairs undertaken to the columns and beams required an elaborate underpinning system to be designed by Bellmont—whilst the building was fully operational and occupied.

The use of sacrificial anodes was strongly recommended by Bellmont to prolong the repair and protection of these structural members.
