Structural Facade Works, Potts Point

Bellmont was initially engaged to inspect the complex, to assess and report on various structural concerns and instigate remedial works. Our observations confirmed that significant structural strengthening works were required along with waterproofing replacement to the main podium roof deck. Works included:

• Removal and reinstatement of structurally inadequate brickwork.
• Installation of brick ties & repointing.
• The replacement of timber windows.
• The replacement of lintels and flashings.
• The replacement of concrete corbels
• The coating of previously painted services
• Roof membrane replacement
• The replacement of tiles, balustrades and timber supports.

As the Superintendant, Bellmont ensured regular meetings to maintain the lines of communication with owners and contractor and the provision of expert technical advice to the Contractor during all stages of the project.
